The Mother Teresa Council is located at Saint James the Greater Parish
in Charles Town, WV on Crosswinds drive. The Grand Knight for 2014-2016 is
Jack Capriolo. You can contact the
Knights by phone at 304-725-5558, or by email at
Knights@stjameswv.org.
Mother Teresa Council was founded in 1997 through the efforts
of Bill Thomassen, Brad Koch, Tony Patterson, John
Sine (District Deputy at that time), and Angelo Viania. The council was named after Mother
Teresa, whose popularity was soaring in 1997 after blessing her newly elected
successor of Superior General.
She went on a well publicized trip around the world which included her
final meeting with Pope John Paul II and receiving the United States Congressional
Gold Medal. The Mother Teresa
Council works closely with the Roman Catholic Parish of Saint James the
Greater in Charles Town, providing funds for various projects such as Webster
Springs Mission, Social Concerns in Jefferson County, and Special
Olympics. Our members also take
an active role in many other parish activities. |
